Jill Slater Case Study

Background: Jill Slater is a gardening expert that appears on local television shows and Home and Garden Television. With years of appearances under her belt, she wanted a website to help promote her as a personality and feature her 100+ gardening and lifestyle articles. Further, we wanted to be able to manage the content of her article library without knowing any HTML.

Process: Gravitate began by creating an elegant, appealing website design that would house Jill Slater's article library. From there, a database was created to house all content and dynamically drive the display on the website.

Jill Slater's administrative module was custom built per her usage requirements and provides the ability to:

• add, edit, delete articles
• create categories and subcategories for articles
• upload and label relevant images
• show and hide articles without deleting them from the database
• determine display order for both articles and categories
• preview articles prior to publishing

Results: Jill Slater can now manage and scale her article library through an easy-to-use web tool. Admittedly more of a green thumb than a tech nerd, Jill Slater only needed about 30 minutes of introduction before she was able to manage her web content without any help.
