Gravitate Launches New Site for the National Juvenile Defenders Center
Non-profit continues its mission in providing support to nation's defenders
WASHINGTON, D.C. - January 24, 2005 – Today, Gravitate Design Studio, a marketing and design firm, launched the website for the National Juvenile Defenders center, a national non-proft organization aimed at providing resources and support for public defenders. The site features tools designed to allow users to quickly located information for their state and easily request additional information on issues important to them.
"We wanted to defy the expectation that a site of this nature would be dry and unexciting," said Michael Parker, Principal at Gravitate. "By utilizing subtle flash and interactive features, we created a user experience that was rich, warm, and anything but your typical legal website. The design utilizes texture and shadows to invite visitors in, while easy-to-use maps and request forms make it highly usable."
