Gravitate Launches Website for Ancient Egypt Research Associates
New website showcases research on who built the Great Pyramids of Giza
CAIRO, EGYPT - October 28, 2005 – Today, Gravitate Design Studio, an interactive design agency, launched the new branding and website for Ancient Egypt Research Associates (AERA). Since 1985, Dr. Mark Lehner and the AERA team have conducted research on the Giza Plateau, including a comprehensive mapping of the Sphinx and exploration of the Lost City of the pyramid builders. The new website features research and photographs that document over 20 years of archaeology.
"The search for the builders of the Pyramids is centuries old," said Cyndi Nguyen, Creative Director of Gravitate. "AERA’s work brings us to a better understanding of the origins of civilization. To say that our team had fun developing this rich and captivating site would be an understatement."
The new AERA website features comprehensive project articles, an artifact gallery, and an online donation page. In addition, Gravitate developed two interactive Flash modules that allow users to explore the maps of the Lost City and Sphinx—the heart of AERA's research.
“I’m so privileged to be a part of AERA’s team," said Brian Hunt, AERA producer and writer. "It’s exciting that the world will now be able to read about this project. Working with Gravitate Design on our website has simply been one of the most satisfying professional experiences I’ve had.”
