Gravitate Gives the American Lung Association Website a Breath of Fresh Air
Washington, DC – November 6, 2009 – Gravitate Design Studio today launch the website for American Lung Association, the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through Education, Advocacy and Research. The site was created in partnership with Beaconfire Consulting, a marketing agency dedicated to advancing the missions of non-profits.
“We were thrilled when Beaconfire asked us to take on the American Lung Association’s site design,” said Cyndi Nguyen, Creative Director at Gravitate. “The ALA is a well-established and well-respected name that were honored to help support. By dramatically improving the interface for the website, we believe it will help drive awareness and contributions to the American Lung Association.”
The new site supports education and advocacy efforts nationwide by encouraging visitors to learn about the many challenges to clean air, related diseases, and volunteer opportunities. The site also serves as an excellent resource to those trying to quit smoking.
The American Lung Association’s former website was overdue for a redesign. The content was cramped, the design boxy, and the overall feel stale. Further, the old site as not in alignment with the non-profit’s recent brand overhaul. With Gravitate’s help, the American Lung Association is now advancing their new look — along with their mission — to millions of online visitors. The new site is engaging, lively and fresh as content literally feels as though it is floating on air.
