Meet Tyrrell, Our New Digital Strategist!

Welcome Tyrrell!

Prior to joining Gravitate, Tyrrell worked at different ad agencies and was their go-to person for anything and everything paid search. Outside of work, you’ll find him chucking dice while exploring dungeons with his friends, reading one of the many books on his ever-growing list, or searching for the next great horror movie to scare him.

With over 8 years of experience of managing paid search campaigns for a wide variety of businesses, we’re excited to add Tyrrell’s prowess to the Gravitate team!

The team asked, Tyrrell answered.

If you could be any character in any television show, who would it be, in what show, and why?

Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre Foods. Getting paid to travel around the world and try the many different dishes the various cultures have to offer? Count me in!

If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be and why?
Time! There are so many things my brain wants to do every day and so little time to do it.

How long would you last in a zombie apocalypse?

I like to think I would be a genius and live a long time, but knowing my luck I would be one of the people that gets cut on a random nail and gets infected like a dunce.

Tell us about your most recent obsession.

Sleep studies! I firmly believe that sleep deprivation is a quiet problem and not many people realize it. Highly recommend reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker if you want to learn some fascinating facts about sleep cycles and why a good night’s sleep is important. 🙂

Name something super overrated. Why?

Voodoo Donuts. Way too much sugar and personally I feel like the taste just doesn’t do it for me. I’m a Doe donuts guy.

Now- What do you think is under-rated?

They are growing in popularity now, but board/tabletop games. I love sitting around cardboard with a group of people looking to have some friendly (or even serious) competition. Definitely my favorite way to socialize.

What do you do differently than most?

I don’t like to drive. I haven’t had a car in almost 10 years and while there are times I would appreciate the convenience, I haven’t had the desire to buy a new one.

Fire, 3 interesting facts about you?

1 – I am the oldest of 7 children.

2 – I played football for 9 years.

3 – I am a huge movie nerd. Horror is my favorite genre.

Tell us about your new role – what are you most excited about?

I am coming in hot as a Paid Strategist who focuses on the Paid Search side of things. I am always excited to help businesses grow due to my efforts, but I am also looking forward to rubbing skulls with everyone at Gravitate! Everybody I have interacted with has been great so far.

What is your favorite part about your role at Gravitate?

So far I have been loving the ability to dive into accounts and provide some suggestions based on my experience. Being open-minded is what marketing is all about!
