Put A Bird In It Update
Back in July we told you about Gravitate’s design team participating in the WeMake Portland design project, Put A Bird In It. The project will help support the arts in Portland’s public schools. A couple months later, all the designers have been hard at work. Here’s a sneak peak at our progress, and a look at some of the competition.
Portland Timbers Field Trip
A Gravitate field trip was due so our Client Services Director, Clay Woodward organized a day out to watch a Portland Timbers game. The game against FC Dallas ended in a tie, and it turned out to be one of Portland’s hottest days this summer, breaking 100, luckily we were in the shade.
DMob dLux: Rontoms Screen Printing Party
Earlier this month the Gravitate design team made an appearance at the 2nd annual DMob dLux Screen Printing party. The event was at Rontoms on East Burnside in Portland and dancing was involved. Graphic designer, Joe Carolino got a shout out for breaking out the “sweet moves” at the end of this video.
SEMpdx Rooftop Party
The Digital Marketing team took their networking skills out to the local search engine/digital marketing community on August 14th. Hundreds showed up to mingle on top of Hotel DeLux in downtown Portland at the SEMpdx Rooftop Networking Party, and talk about Google algorithms (a few other things too).
Hood to Coast
Two of us participated in the Hood to Coast this year! Our fearless leader, William Roskowski, clipboard in hand, definitely looks the part of team leader wherever he goes. Notice the snazzy t-shirts William and his wife Amy are sporting designed by Gravitate for Black Rhino Construction.
Also participating in the Hood to Coast festivities, our Front-End Developer, Nicholas Coker volunteered for the third year in a row. This year he was stationed in Portland from 3am to 7am Friday morning. That meant getting to work bright and early after his volunteer shift – coffee was required!
