    The Creative Director (CD) is responsible for leading the creative team, developing guidelines, and directing work, including websites, digital marketing campaigns, and more. The CD must be a strong leader, with the ability to maximize the talents of the team. The CD will report directly to and work closely with the agency president and will be responsible for meeting with clients and prospects to promote the agency services.


    • Four-year degree with an emphasis on marketing, communications or design
    • 6-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role (e.g., Art Director, Creative Lead)
    • Experience managing designers, writers, and/or production artists
    • Proven track record of managing multiple projects from concept through completion


    • Direct layout, design, and copywriting
    • Generate ideas for branding, campaigns, and marketing solutions
    • Participate in discovery, scoping, and estimating for new projects
    • Make final decisions on copy, art, and designs
    • Meet with leads, clients, and industry peers
    • Manage project, team, and personal schedules
    • Orient, train, assign, and coach team members
    • Identify and implement process improvements
    • Monitor expenses to ensure fidelity to project budgets
    • Identify and implement quality control processes for project deliverables
    • Communicate with clients and provide updates and answers as required
    • Establish and maintain standards and brand guidelines


    • An intimate understanding of design, copy, and web best practices and guidelines
    • Deep understanding of how content, design, technology, and UX intersect
    • Excellent leadership skills
    • Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills
    • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
    • Comfort interacting with leads, clients, and coworkers
    • Strong persuasive skills

    • Project management
